Morning Glory Vase
Late 19th–early 20th century
Cameo glass
Height: 7 1/8 in. (18 cm)
Engraved near pontil: “B 175”
Acid-etched and wheel-carved cameo glass vase with a vivid blue morning glory blossom and shaded green leaves against a softly frosted ground. Delicate trailing foliage in a pale overlay layer encircles the body.
The engraved alphanumeric marking and stylistic parallels with documented examples support attribution to the Harrach glassworks, a leading Bohemian producer of luxury cameo glass around 1900. Comparable examples have appeared in European auctions attributed to Harrach, though similar wares have also been associated with Moser of Karlsbad.
The refined layering, luminous color transitions, and botanical naturalism exemplify the technical sophistication of late 19th-century Bohemian art glass.
