Parish is inspired by life experiences and nature. She is influenced by artists John Singer Sargent and John William Waterhouse along with other nineteenth-century artists.
She has apprenticed with Casey Childs for three years.
She received the Gospel Vision of the Arts Scholarship, Peer Choice Award.
