Seamstress in Interior by Paul Edouard Deligny, 1907

$42,500.00

Oil on Canvas

76 ½ x 50 ½ in.

This painting was one of the artist's two entries in the Paris Salon of 1907, the salon for which he was awarded Honorable Mention.

Paul Édouard Deligny was born to French parents in Lisbon in 1870.  He studied with Jules-Octave Triquet and was a member of the Societé des Artistes Français from 1907 onwards.  He participated in the organization's exhibitions and was awarded an honorable mention in 1907.

This work is a fine example of the artist's ability in portraying both figures in interiors and still lifes in the same painting.
