Heinrich Stelzner, born in Bayreuth in 1833, began his artistic journey with a commercial apprenticeship in Nuremberg before training in lithography under Theodor Rothbart and studying at the Nuremberg Art School with August von Kreiling. Moving to Munich in 1860 marked a turning point in his career, where he became renowned for his proficiency in painting and graphic design. Stelzner's works encompassed historicist and religious themes, genre scenes, and landscapes, showcasing his versatility. He later taught at the School of Applied Arts in Munich, influencing young artists until his death in 1910. Stelzner's legacy endures for his thematic diversity and technical skill.
