Statue of Nepalese Goddess Dhumbarahi

The temples of Katmandu are guarded by four sow deities, who stand at each of the cardinal points. Dhumbarahi, the grey goddess, protects the north against all enemies, in particular disease. This authentic, eighteenth-century Nepalese statue of the goddess is made of sterling silver and sumptuously decorated in turquoise, corral, lapis lazuli gold and rubies.
