Birger Sandzen (Swedish, 1871-1954)
Sandzen was a painter, etcher, and lithographer specializing in landscapes of the American West. He worked in Kansas, Colorado, Sweden, and Paris as well as being an active art educator. Sandzen's style is said to evoke that of Vincent Van Gogh and Paul Cézanne.
