Salt Lake City by David Meikle

12 x 36 inches

"I love the sunsets of Salt Lake City, especially in the spring. I have witnessed countless similar sunsets and I never grow tired of this view. This is also very close to what I see from my living room window every day. Evening time is my favorite time of the day. I have always been interested in the dramatic light and colors that happen during a sunset and I tried to capture those same feelings with this painting. I love seeing the lights of the city turning on as the light begins to fade. There is an excitement about city lights that makes me think of going downtown to a concert, show, or restaurant. The location in this painting is from Scenic Drive southwest of the “H Rock” on Salt Lake’s east bench."
