An interchangeable disk music box crafted by the Regina Music Box Company of New York. The slightly domed lid of the walnut box is supported on turned spindles above a stepped edge, which rests on a paneled case with recessed turned corner columns raised on a carved and stippled footed base. A brass hand crank is mounted to the case. The lid lifts to reveal a monochrome lithograph on its interior, depicting a representation of Regina, venerating her as the Queen of Music, and is copyrighted 1896 by the Regina Music Box Company. The music box is raised on an open-shelf stand with carved cabinet doors that reveal additional disk storage. Measures: 47 x 24 x 22 in.
