Antal Neogrady (Hungarian, 1861 - 1942)
Born in Galsa, Hungary, he passed through the Budapest Academy before continuing his art education in Munich. He studied there at the Academy of Art under Gabriel von Hackl, and Alex von Wagner, also a Hungarian, who painted historical genre and landscapes. Neogrady was Professor of Watercolor Studies at the Budapest Academy from 1893 until 1931.
