"Interior Scene with a Fisherman and His Wife" by Alois Boudry


Alois Boudry (Belgian, 1851-1938)

Boudry was a painter of portraits, fishermen, and interiors. He studied in Ypres, Roeselare,, and at the Academy of Antwerp. He received an award at the 1889 World Exhibition in Paris and participated in the Brussels World Fair in 1910. In 1914, Boudry moved to Britain where he continued to work as a portraitist.
