This monumental, dark walnut bench features several full-reflief carvings depicting the resurrection of the just and judgment of the wicked on the Final Judgement Day. The left side is surmounted by a cherub, sounding a trumpet that causes the righteous to rise out of their graves directly below. The central panel features two caryatids, one holding the anchor of hope and the other the scales of justice. The righthand side is topped with a cherub with the list of those who have been judges worthy. In fine condition, the bench seat lifts to reveal a large hollow compartment.
