Dutch Marquetry Bombe Display Cabinet


This eighteenth century Dutch marquetry inlaid cabinet has an upper case with a domed stepped cornice over a single glazed door and glazed canted corners, the interior fitted with three shaped shelves with leather-trimmed edges, all raised on a bombe-form base with four graduate drawers mounted with ornate brass pulls. The entire case is resting on ogee bracket feet, and entirely covered in marquetry inlay with various coloured woods in designs of flower vines, swags and flowering urns and birds. Measures: 73 ½ x 39 ½ x 16 ½ inches.
