Cardston, August 27, 1920 by LeConte Stewart

  • $2,250.00

A charming pencil drawing by Utah artist LeConte Stewart (American, 1891 - 1990), featuring cattle grazing on stacks of hay and dated 1920. Stewart was a pioneer of Western art, who applied French impressionism to rural scenes in his native Utah. This work, created during the decade that Stewart himself considered to be his best, is indicative of his ability to communicate large expanses and a great deal of information with great efficacy.
