Africa in a Jar (c. 1950) by Karl Hagenauer

Karl Hagenauer (1898 — 1956) was the son of a Viennese goldsmith who became known for his exotic, high-quality sculptures. This work depicts the Ndebele "giraffe" women of South Africa, who are known for wearing many brass rings around their necks, legs, and arms.
