A Swiss Black Forest Occasional Table
A late-nineteenth-century circular occasional table made in Switzerland; the top featuring five beautiful marquetry panels of chamois and other animal groupings, and interposed with floral sprays in exotic, fruit, and ebonized woods. The skirt of the table is extensively carved with pierced and interlacing wood patterns; the central column featuring large acanthus leaves and the three legs with flower carvings terminating in scrolls.
