A Set of Six Georg Jensen Stainless Steel Seafood Forks


A set of six stainless steel lobster or seafood forks by Danish designer and silversmith Georg Jensen (1866 - 1935), each stamped on reverse with makers mark and packaged in original box. Measures: 7.75 x 4 x 1.5 inches.

Before embarking in a career as a silversmith and designer in 1901, under the tutelage of Mogens Ballin, Jensen studied sculpture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, and was a modeller at a the Bing & Grondahl porcelain factory. Jensen was able to successfully combine his knowledge of the fine arts with his applied practice to excel in his craft.
