The figure on the left carries the staff of a traveling pilgrim and wears on his shoulder shell given to those who have visited the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela (Spain) from the Middle Ages to the present. To the right, is a figure of a Saint, most likely the Apostle John or James, holding the grail, which closely resembles the relic now kept at the Cathedral in Valencia (Spain).
