A striking pair of French 19th century Regency style ormolu wall sconces. Hanging from a stylized ribbon is a pierced shield with foliate forms applied, surmounted by a shell and laurel leaves. The focal point of the sconces is the crest, which depicts a woman's face surround by rays of light and would be strikingly illuminated by the four curving arms with electrified candlestick sockets that sit just below in an urn and terminates in a shell and foliate design.
