A pair of bronze statues of Mercury and Venus


Made after models by the High-Renaissance sculptor Giambologna (Italian, 1529 - 1608), these beautifully sculpted, finely chased, and dark bronze sculpture depict the Gods Mercury (i.e. Hermes), the messenger of men and immortals, and Venus (i.e. Aphrodite), the goddess of love.
